Gabriela Arribas

Gabriela Arribas was born in Miami, Florida, but grew up in the Chicago suburbs. She is trilingual, speaking both Spanish and Portuguese thanks to her Venezuelan and Brazilian heritage. As a child, she helped her mom study for her citizenship exam and watched her pass, officially becoming a United States Citizen. Because of this, Gabriela has always been interested in the immigration process, and she went on to study Political Science and Psychology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. After graduating in May 2024, she started working at TIP in June, 2024 as the Interpretation/Translation Coorindator. She hopes to be able to continue to improve language access at the organization, and help to service all different linguistic communities.
