Jeff Crabill

Jeff feels very humbled and grateful to serve on the Board of such a great organization that does so much work for immigrants. While he was born in the United States—Fort Wayne, Indiana to be exact—his spouse is a naturalized citizen from Hong Kong. He and his spouse are empty-nesters with two young-adult daughters. He is a litigation insurance attorney in Bloomington, Illinois since moving there in 2012. He has appreciated all the opportunities he has had to provide pro bono services in a number of areas, including family law, expungement, and tenant rights. He started volunteering for The Immigration Project about five years ago and has successfully reunited family members from different countries, assisted juveniles in obtaining immigration status, and has coordinated and participated in various TIP clinics on naturalization and asylum. As an activist and former Bloomington City Council alderperson, he has advocated for legislation protecting immigrants. As a TIP board member, he wants to ensure that TIP receives the necessary support to continue to grow and thrive.
