Rubina Guerrero Rea joined the Immigration Project in March of 2022 as a housing specialist.

Rubina was born and raised in South Texas, thirty minutes from the Mexican border. Rubina’s mother was a big influence on her life of helping and serving—not just immigrants, but everyone.

She has lived in the Champaign Urbana area for eleven years now and is fortunate to have found the Immigration Project. She feels connected to her culture and upbringing once again. She enjoys traveling, cooking and drinking coffee!
