What Is the CARE Campaign?
The Immigration Project’s CARE (Children’s Access to Removal Expertise) Program has stood beside unaccompanied immigrant children as they navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Since 2021, our attorneys have built trusted relationships with these clients and advocated for them through asylum cases, removal proceedings, and other life-changing immigration matters.
Today, that work is in jeopardy.
Federal funding for the program has been eliminated, leaving children in the middle of their cases facing an uncertain future. While a smaller contract was awarded to out-of-state providers with no local ties, there is no transition plan and no clear indication that any competent immigration attorney will be able to take up the cases of these children that we have fought so hard to represent.
We have made a commitment to these children, and we do not want them to lose the attorneys who know their stories and have been fighting for them.

How We Direct Funding
Your donation will be used to support our CARE program. If federal funding is restored, your gift will instead support services for other children and survivors of trauma in our care, ensuring your generosity continues to protect those who need it most.
